Isaiah was a prophet to the southern kingdom of Judah.  Israel was divided into two countries, one called Judah and the northern kingdom called Israel.

Isaiah was called by God when King Uzziah died.  Isaiah says he saw the Lord sitting on a throne in heaven, it was “high and lifted up, with the train of His robe filling the temple.”  Isaiah 6:1
Seraphim stood above the Lord and Isaiah describes the Seraphim.  He also heard what they cried as they flew,

Isaiah 6:3
“Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts,
The whole earth is full of His glory.”

So mighty was God’s voice that the foundations trembled as the heavenly temple was filling with smoke.  Was the temple on fire?  No, smoke many times represents prayers of God’s people.  Isaiah 6:4

How did Isaiah respond to such a scene in heaven?
 Isaiah 6:5
“Woe is me, for I am ruined!
Because I am a man of unclean lips,
And I live among a people of unclean lips;
For my eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.”

Isaiah saw the majesty and greatness of God, Himself.  And he knew that he was found wanting.  He could not measure up to God.
You and I cannot begin to measure up to the majesty and greatness of God.  No one can.  This, my friend, is why we need Jesus as our Savior.  He is the Son of God.  He came to earth to take our punishment for our sins.  His sacrifice was accepted by God the Father.

One day, in the future, Christ Jesus will come again and invite all those who know Him as Savior to feast at the marriage supper of the Lamb (Jesus) to His people. Revelation 19:7

God’s Word ~ Alive!
Revelation 19:6b-7a
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.
Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him…”

Do you dare compare yourself with God and His majesty?
