Joel was a prophet in Judah, the southern part of divided Israel, where two of Israel’s tribes lived. The other ten tribes lived in the northern part, Israel.
Joel was given the responsibility by God to tell Judah of God’s coming day of judgment. He called the people to repentance.
Today, I believe, we still need to repent of our sins. All of us sin, no one can say I don’t sin.
1 John 1:9-10
“If we confess our sins, He (God) is
faithful and righteous to forgive
us our sins
and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness.
If we say that have not sinned,
we make Him a liar and
His word is not in us.”
A day of judgment is still coming ~
