Blessed is the person who does not go to the wicked (those with no belief in God) for counsel.

Who do you turn to when in need of wise decisions about anything in your life?
Do you turn to a person who loves the Lord and is familiar with what the Holy Bible says?  If so, you are blessed.

Blessed is the person who does not stand in the same path of sinners, those who intentionally sin by not seeking God for themselves.
Do you turn to such a person who intentionally chooses to live a life without God?

Blessed is the person who does not sit in the seat of scoffers.  Do you actually sit down with people who scoff at God?   My friend, if you do, you are far too close to the scoffer and far off from God.

Psalm 1:1
“How blessed is the man who does not
walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”

The blessed person delights in the law of the LORD,
And in the LORD’S law he meditates day and night.

No matter what is going on in your life or the life of your church family – keep your focus on the LORD, day and night.

Be like the tree the Psalmist talks about, planted by streams of water, the water that nourishes, the fruit that the tree will yield in its season, its leaf not withering.

Keep your eyes on the LORD’S words.  Be nourished by God’s water!  Be a tree which bears godly fruit – and others will be blessed.  Be like that tree and whatever you do prospers.  That is being blessed, is it not?  Be a blessing and not a busybody, spreading “dirt” and innuendos about people, especially those within the family of God.

God’s Word ~ Alive!
1 Timothy 5:13
“At the same time they also learn to be idle,
as they go from house to house;
and not merely idle, but also gossips and busybodies,
talking about things not proper to mention.”

Keep your focus on the LORD,
not on people or circumstances.
Be a blessing NOT a busybody!
