The LORD God said to Solomon at the dedication of the newly built temple in Jerusalem, “If you follow Me as your father, David did, then I will establish the throne forever to your descendants”.
The LORD God gave King Solomon fair warning – if you follow me with your whole heart and have integrity, have uprightness then I will establish your throne for years to come. BUT if you turn from following Me by worshiping other gods then your descendants will be cut off from Israel, this temple will become a pile of rubble.
When people ask “Why?” The answer will be because people forsook the LORD, adopted, worshiped and served other gods, this is why the LORD brings adversity on these people. The LORD warned of His condemnation if people turned to other gods.

If we worship the LORD God of the Bible, serving Him, loving Him, then we will be blessed by the living Lord!
