Joshua reminded the sons of Israel after they were settled in the Promised Land of their history, beginning with Abraham through the worship of the gods of the Amorites. Joshua 24:1-15
Joshua challenged the people to serve the LORD. Joshua boldly and publicly said that he and his house would serve the LORD.
How did the people respond? They denied they worshiped idols. Then they promised “to serve the LORD”. They even agreed they were witnesses to this promise. Joshua 24:21-22
Be careful what you promise to do when worshiping the LORD. He will expect you to live up to your promise. The people in the days of Joshua even promised to obey His voice. Joshua 24:24

“The LORD is my portion;
I have promised to keep His words.”
Let me ask you this, do you know God’s word to you, each day?
Do you read His words to you, each day?
Do you worship Him by obeying His words to you each day?
