Moses was to go to the top of mount Abarim where the LORD showed him the Promised Land from a distance. Because Moses rebelled against the LORD by hitting a rock instead of speaking to it to bring needed water to the people, Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised Land.
Moses was an amazing leader. He was a man who was quick-tempered all his life. It became a stumbling block to him at the end of his life.
Moses was appointed by the LORD to lead His people 40 years through the wilderness.
Moses, for the most part, obeyed God’s words to him.
Moses publicly acknowledged the leader God chose – Joshua. Joshua was publicly commissioned by Moses and given authority to lead the people into the Promised Land. So the people were more apt to obey him. Numbers 27:12-23
Moses also made the high priest Eleazar to be the spiritual leader after Aaron, his father died.
God appointed new leadership in taking His people into the Promised Land.
Moses helped smooth the transition by obeying God.

Hebrews 13:17
“Obey your leaders and submit to them,
for they keep watch over your souls
as those who will give an account.
Let them do this with joy and not with grief,
for this would be unprofitable for you.”
Godly spiritual leadership is to be followed
they will be held responsible for you.
