Hebrews 4:14-16 paraphrased prayer

  Lord God of the Bible, all those who know You as Savior; we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, It is You, Lord Jesus, You are the Son of God. Help us to hold fast to our confession that You are our Lord and Savior.  

  Lord Jesus, we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, we do have One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.  That is hard to comprehend!  You were tempted and yet did not fail in one thing.  You are without sin.   For this reason help each one of us as we pray this prayer to draw near to Your throne of grace, so that we may receive Your mercy and find grace to help us in time of need.  We need Your grace every day!

  Give us Your peace as we look to You, Lord Jesus.  
In Your name I pray,  Amen!
