The LORD filled a man with His spirit and gave him wisdom, understanding, knowledge in all kinds of craftsmanship. He was able to work artistic designs with gold, silver and bronze, cutting precious and semiprecious stones and even carving wood. Exodus 31:1-5
All that the LORD commanded Moses to make for the tabernacle that would serve as a place for worship of God, He also created and gave specific men the ability to create and make the utensils, the furniture, and the tent; even the clothing worn by the priests when they served in the tabernacle, all for the glory of God.
The LORD instructed Moses how the priests were to serve the living God. The people were to know that the LORD wanted them to know that “I am the LORD” who sanctified them, set them apart to worship the LORD.
The priests served God in the tabernacle, the skilled artists who made all the items in the tabernacle and the tabernacle itself were made with excellence. All in service to God.
Think about today, the men and women who serve God in a variety of ways, all are pleasing Him. The Pastor or Priest, the laymen who serve during the worship services, the ones who help the service to flow smoothly. The sound and tech teams, each are important and are serving God. Teachers, any and all special times in the church: Vacation Bible School, mission teams going to other communities to give out God’s word, setting up tables and chairs for fellowship times, lots of time and thought go into all of the activities. Have you thanked God for these men and women? Have you thanked the people themselves? How about a note, an email, or even a text?
How are you serving God in your church? How are you making yourself available to your Pastor/Priest? How are you following through with your commitments?

“…not lagging behind in diligence,
fervent in spirit,
serving the LORD;…”
There is more than one way to serve the LORD.
