Exodus 30:1-16
The LORD God gave Moses and the Israelites a picture of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. The LORD God gave the pattern of what was to be done to worship Him through the sacrificial system performed by the priests of Israel.
The LORD God gave Moses and the Israelites a picture of what His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ would do, sacrificially on the cross. Sins would be forgiven, there on the cross! Your sins and mine. Aren’t you thankful?!
These rituals and furnishings and the tent of meeting were all about Jesus.
The LORD considered all of these holy, consecrated – sacred and set apart for His glory. Consecrated for His purposes. Jesus Christ is the same, consecrated, holy, sanctified, set apart for the LORD God’s purposes. And you are included in this consecration, follower of Christ.
