Clothe yourselves with humility, God says so!

1 Peter 5:5 paraphrased as prayer

  Lord God of the Bible… You came to earth in humility.  What an example You give us.

 Help us to be aware of Your power, Your leading us in our lives, when we are to come under the authority of those over us. We are to clothe ourselves with humility when we interact with others.  For Your word says, “God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”  1 Peter 5:5

  In Psalm 138:6 You tell us
“For though the LORD is exalted,
Yet He regards the lowly,
But the haughty He knows from afar.”

  Lord, I do not want to be haughty but to choose to be humble today and all the days of my life.
  Please remind me and help me.
