Moses said to the fleeing people, remember this night, this time in your life.  When you left Egypt, when you went out from slavery by the LORD’S powerful hand.  Remember this day.  Exodus 13:3

Today we are also to remember the day when God delivered us from the bondage of slavery of sin, Satan and death.
Remember it is the LORD’S power which delivers, gives us freedom.  Accusations, innuendos, are hurtful, don’t let them rob you of the joy of being saved from your sins.

Moses continued to remind the people the LORD will bring you into the land where many different people live.  The LORD swore to your fathers to give that land, and remember to observe the Passover.  Seven days to celebrate that original Passover.  Devote to the LORD every firstborn of your children and of your animals.  When your children ask you, ‘What is this?’  You are to reply, ‘With a powerful hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt, from the house of slavery.”  Exodus 13:11-14

Keep observing this important feast year by year.  Tell your children of the time Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the LORD killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt.  For this reason we are to sacrifice to the LORD the males, the first offspring of every womb, but every firstborn of my sons I redeem.  Exodus 13:15-16

“For You have delivered my soul from death,
Indeed my feet from stumbling,
So that I may walk before God
In the light of the living.”
