There is a difference between escaping and being delivered. Yet that is exactly what happened to the sons of Israel, slaves in Egypt. They escaped by leaving when God said, Go! They were delivered by God’s hand through 10 plagues and then the pursuit of the Egyptians through the wilderness to the Red Sea. Exodus Chapters 3-15
Can you imagine the magnitude of the crowd of people? The Bible tells us that 600,000 men left Egypt. That does not include women and children, or the Egyptians who went with them. There could have been 2 million people leaving all at once. Folks, that is a LOT of people.
God had told the sons of Israel they would leave 400 years after the LORD told Abraham. Once again, God fulfills His word! Genesis 15:13 “God said to Abram, ‘Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years.”
God’s Word ~ Alive!
2 Peter 1:20-21
“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is
a matter of one’s own interpretation,
for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will,
but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”
God’s word is alive and active!
