Plagues, six of them, did not convince Pharaoh he needed to listen to the warnings and God’s judgments which followed the warnings.

Another plague which would help to devastate Egypt was coming. Pharaoh was warned, but his hard heart did not listen.  His people suffered!
This next plague was one of a severe storm, lightning, thunder and hail throughout the land of Egypt, except in the land of Goshen where the slaves lived.

Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron to ask God to stop the storm with these words: “I have sinned this time; the LORD is the righteous one, and I and my people are the wicked ones.”  Exodus 9:18-27

Moses prayed, God stopped the storm.  And Pharaoh?  He sinned again and hardened his heart.

What had the hail done?  It had flattened the flax and the barley, but the wheat and spelt was not ruined with this judgment.  That would come later.  Exodus 9:28-35

All of Egypt suffered due to the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart.
How many people am I affecting because I have a hard heart?

God’s Word ~ Alive!

Romans 12:16
“Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be
haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly.
Do not be wise in your own estimation.”

Hard hearts may think of themselves as wise.
