Moses saw God’s judgments on Egypt through the Nile River becoming blood, frogs throughout Egypt, gnats and insects swarming.  Now came more judgments on the gods of Egypt.

Distinction between Egyptians and the slaves of the sons of Israel.
Pestilence on the livestock of the Egyptians without harm to the Hebrew slaves’ livestock.  Exodus 9:1-6
Pharaoh checked out the livestock of his slaves.  Not one animal died!  Still the heart of Pharaoh was hardened and He did not let the people go to worship the living God.

God knows your heart attitude.
God knows your motives.
God knows you.

The next judgment of God as boils, painful boils on Egyptians and their animals.  The way the Bible reads, it seems that Pharaoh was not warned of this judgment. Pharaoh’s heart was hard!  Exodus 9:8-12

Pharaoh’s pride of his hard heart.
Proverbs 16:18
“Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before stumbling.
Don’t let pride stumble you or bring destruction into your life.

Why did the LORD send all these judgments?  The LORD sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh again with the same message: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.”  The LORD sent those plagues so the Egyptians would know that there was “no one like Me in all the earth.”
We serve the same God, followers of Christ.  There is no one like Him in all the earth.

The LORD had power to kill all the Egyptians, but He allowed them to remain so the LORD would show them His power and to proclaim His name through all the earth.
Pharaoh still exalted himself against God’s people (the sons of Israel) by not letting them go.
Exodus 9:13-17

God’s Word ~ Alive!

Hebrews 4:12
“For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercings far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

We need God in our lives,
there is no one like Him “in all the earth.”
