Age doesn’t make a heart harden… attitude and unbelief in God hardens hearts.  No matter your age, unbelief will set your mind against God.  Pharaoh did not believe in the living God.  He believed in the many gods of Egypt.   Today, choosing unbelief is still rejecting God and hardening hearts.

The LORD knew Pharaoh would refuse, reject, belief in Him.  Moses and Aaron were to go to Pharaoh and speak to him to let the sons of Israel go out of Egypt.  Exodus 7:2

The LORD would “lay My hand on Egypt and bring out My hosts, My people the sons of Israel, front the land of Egypt by great judgments.  The Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch out My hand on Egypt and bring out the sons of Israel from their midst.”  Exodus 7:4-5

Moses and Aaron believed the LORD even when Moses was 80 and Aaron was 83, and they spoke with Pharaoh.  Your age doesn’t matter to God when you believe in Him.  In fact, as you mature in your understanding of God, the tests get harder!  But you know from experience that God will be with you in the circumstances into which He sends you.  So, go forward into your circumstances with confidence… He knows what you are facing and He will be with you.

Moses and Aaron worked miracles before Pharaoh, the same miracles which convinced Moses.  Aaron threw his staff on the ground and it became a snake.  Pharaoh had his magicians do the same with their staffs but Aaron’s staff/snake ate up the other snakes. Exodus 7:8-12

Pharaoh’s heart was further hardened, he would not listen to Moses or Aaron.

The next morning the LORD God told them to go to Pharaoh when he went to bathe in the Nile River.  Taking the staff, striking the water in the river, turning it to blood.  The fish in the river died, the water became undrinkable throughout Egypt.  Aaron did this in the open when Pharaoh and his servants saw the miracle of the first judgment against Egypt.  The magicians of Pharaoh performed the same miracle and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened yet again.  He would not listen to Aaron or Moses.  He was not concerned about no water to drink for anyone because of his hard heart.  Seven days passed.
Exodus 7:20-25

How did the people find water to drink?  They dug around the Nile for water to drink because they could not use the water of the Nile.  Exodus 7:24
