Moses did not want to go to Pharaoh and ask him to let God’s people leave Egypt.
  Moses argued with God.  Moses may have said, in today’s vernacular: Hey, look, I cannot speak well, in fact some people can’t understand me with my speech impediment.  Are You sure You want me to go to Pharaoh and speak to him?  Exodus 4:10

  Moses did not want to go to Pharaoh and confront him.  Moses tried to change God’s mind.
Did Moses know God all that well?   Moses came up with a logical excuse, it wasn’t logical to God, because God does what He wants to do when He wants to do anything.  He is all powerful and to us, full of surprises.  He is not limited in the variety of ways He works.

  What is your excuse to do what God is calling you to do?  Is it a speech impediment?  Or perhaps you have a house that needs to be painted.  Maybe you have a relative living with you, and it is not possible for you to stretch yourself any more.  Another excuse: what will others think?  Do what God is calling you to do and watch Him work it out.

   Finally, Moses went to Pharaoh and asked him to let the sons of Israel leave Egypt to go worship their God in the wilderness.  Exodus 5:1

  The LORD God knows what He is doing.  He wants to use you and me in uncomfortable situations for His glory.

God’s Word ~ Alive!

Isaiah 55:8, 11
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways, declares the LORD
So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding
in the matter for which I sent it.”

My logic is NOT God’s logic –
He is greater than my logic
in my uncomfortable circumstances!
