Matthew 17:20-21  paraphrased

  Lord Jesus, You were talking to Your disciples and they asked You an important question… Why couldn’t we work successfully and drive out a demon from an ill man?

  Lord Jesus, we too, many times wonder why our work and/or prayer is not answered.  Our work, for Your glory, sometimes doesn’t happen.  You told Your disciples “Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you.”  But what you were trying to do to make the ill man well, you needed to pray and fast.

  Lord Jesus help my faith to grow and become greater, believing that You hear my prayers and Your power is available to answer my prayers.  Thank You that You say to pray and fast for answer to some prayer needs.

  In the faithful name of Jesus, I pray… Amen.
