Genesis 4:1-26 Adam and Eve had two sons, Cain and Abel. Cain was a tiller of the ground and Abel was a shepherd.

Cain became angry with his brother, so angry he killed him out in the field.

Genesis 4:8 Before he killed his brother, God asked him, why are you angry? Then God warned Cain, “And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.” Genesis 4:7

God found Cain and confronted him with his sin. God’s judgment was carried out, Cain became a nomad outside of the family circle. Cain’s wife had their children. His descendants were also sinners.

God tells us that everyone is a sinner… and we need a Savior.
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

By The Way – this includes you and me! I am a sinner saved by God’s grace! His favor which I cannot earn. It is a gift of God which I received when I believed in Jesus as my Savior.

“But before faith came, we were
kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith
which was later to be revealed.”
