David first spoke to all the assembled leaders of Israel. 
1 Chronicles 28:1-8

  Then David pointedly looked at Solomon and said, ‘As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts.  If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
 Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary, be courageous and act.’”  1 Chronicles 28:9-10

  God knows your motives ~
  So – serve Him with your whole heart ~
  So – serve Him with a willing mind – your mind!
  God knows your hearts ~
  God understands your every motive, every intent of your hidden thoughts.
  So – seek God and He will let you find Him ~
  God knows your intentions.

Consider this  ~

God IS God!
Seek Him to find Him!
Serve Him with your whole heart!
