1 Chronicles 11:1
David was king in Hebron – after Saul and Saul’s three sons died – “all Israel” came to David in Hebron.  Many men from the 12 tribes came and told David, “we’re family!”

David wisely waited God’s timing to become king over all of Israel.  He did not cause war, but he waited.
Waiting can be tedious, frustrating and seemingly futile.

David was anointed king by Samuel by God’s direction, 1 Samuel 16:12-13, many years before Saul died.

God may have called you to a specific responsibility many years before you were mature enough or before your life experiences prepared you.

Consider this  ~

Waiting –
don’t waste time –
and while you are waiting – lean on God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (Amplified Bible)
“Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart
And do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6 In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him,
And He will make your paths straight and smooth
[removing obstacles that block your way].”
