Habakkuk was a prophet whose faith was in the living God.  Habakkuk was a prophet to the northern kingdom of Israel and the southern kingdom of Judah.
Habakkuk and God have a conversation throughout this short book of three chapters.
In Habakkuk 2:2-20 God is speaking and in verse 4, God pointedly says, “the righteous will live by his faith.”
God told Habakkuk that truth and God is telling you and me that same truth.

Faith must have an object to lean on.  Faith in the living God will strengthen you as you walk through your day, follower of Christ.

Romans 1:17 “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘But the righteous man shall live by faith.”

  Lets look at Hebrews 12:2
What we are to do: “Fix your eyes on Jesus,…”
Who Jesus is: “… the author and perfecter of our faith…”
Why we are to look at Jesus: “… who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame,
What Jesus did: “… and has set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Think about this!

Faith in Jesus Christ – faith alone!
Nothing you do can ever equal what Jesus did for you!
Faith and faith alone in Jesus!
