How foolish when we are slow to believe in Jesus and in God’s words about Jesus.
Instead of believing Jesus, do we “buy in” to what is said by people without God in their lives?  Do we believe the lies which are spewed out of their mouths?

How foolish we are when we drag our feet about believing in the Lord Jesus.
How foolish to procrastinate saying, “I have time to believe in Jesus… tomorrow.”

My friend, tomorrow may never come for you.

We have no guarantees about our lives, living to a ripe old age… even then, without believing in the living risen Savior.  His name is Jesus.

Jesus told two sad people walking to Emmaus about their lack of faith in the prophecies about the Messiah, the Anointed One of God.  In other words, about Jesus Himself.  Luke 24:13-25

NASB Luke 24:25 “And He said to them, ‘O foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken.”

How are we like those two sad people?  Believing Jesus really lived, that He really died, that He really was raised from death; yet, not understanding that His life, death and resurrection was for us personally?

Will you say with me, I am no longer a foolish man/woman.  I no longer want to hang onto unbelief about Jesus.

I pray for each person reading this devotional to not be foolish, not have a slow heart to believe in Jesus.
But to believe, right now, that Jesus is for you in your circumstances.
That you choose to believe that He is the powerful, living, risen Savior!  His name is Jesus.
That Jesus lived, died and was raised to life ~ for you!

NASB John 3:16 “For God so loved the world (that’s us!), that He gave His only begotten Son (that’s Jesus!), that whoever (that’s us!) believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (is that you?).”

~ Take it to heart ~

No longer be: “O foolish men and slow of heart to believe…”
