What were your plans six weeks ago? Eating meals, meeting friends at a favorite “hang-out”, weddings, engagements celebrated, buying and selling, planting and building… all normal things in life… life being lived. Then – the world was “hit” with COVID-19 as we were living our lives.
All of this was happening in the days of Noah, when Noah and his family entered the ark of safety, until “the flood came and destroyed them all”. Luke 17:26-27
All of this happened in the days of Lot who lived in Sodom. Life was being lived, until Lot and his family left Sodom, but on that day when Lot and his family “left Sodom and it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.” Luke 17:28-29
God’s judgment came in the days of Noah and Lot. The people in both time periods had time to turn to God and be saved.
God’s judgment did happen…
“It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man (that’s Jesus) is revealed.” Luke 17:30
God’s judgment will happen…
Accept Jesus as your Savior. Acts 4:12 (NASB) “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
Believe that He died for your sins, that He was buried, and when He was resurrected, was given life, physical life. This Jesus is alive, physically, in heaven right now. At some point He will return to this earth as King over all kings.
Romans 11:33-36 (NIV)
“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?
Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?
For from him and through him and to him are all things.
To him be the glory forever! Amen.”
Confess your sins and confess (tell) the living God you need His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior. Romans 10:9-10 (NASB) “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
Know that you are saved by God’s unmerited favor, forever and ever!
John 5:24 (NASB) “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”

Today, as you are living life, this moment is the time to receive Christ Jesus as your Savior. Faith in Him will save you from God’s judgment.
