Jesus talked to His disciples, and He is talking to us today!
(NASB) Luke 17:22-25 “And He said to His disciples, ‘The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of man, and you will not see it.
23 ‘They will say to you, ‘Look there! Look here!’ Do not go away, and do not run after them.
24 ‘For just like the lightning, when it flashes out of one part of the sky, shines to the other part of the sky, so will the Son of man be in His day.
25 ‘But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.”
Jesus warned of His return… but don’t be deceived by people claiming that He has come. When Jesus comes, it will be seen by everyone… like lightning flashing across the sky.
The “But first…” has happened!
Jesus did suffer many things: illegal trials, false accusations, mocked and scorned, scourged with a vicious whip, crucified on a cross for on-lookers to see His wounded, naked body until He died.

Jesus’ body was taken down from the cross and buried in a borrowed, new tomb (John 19:38-41).
He was raised to life after the Sabbath day (Mark 16:1-7).
He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-11) with the promise that He would return to this earth.
~ Take it to heart ~
The “But first…” happened when Jesus came to earth to die and rise again for US! When Jesus will come back, we don’t know… but this we do know… anytime!
Are you ready to see Him face to face? For the follower of Christ, what joy that will be.

(NASB) Acts 4:10 “let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene…”
(NASB) Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
Ask Him to come into your heart
by Admitting that you are a sinner, in need of a Savior.
Believe that He died for your sins.
Confess your sins to the living Lord Jesus Christ
and Confess that Jesus is the Son of God.
And you will be saved.
There is no other name, there is no other way, to go to heaven.
