(NASB) Psalm 23:5 “… You have anointed my head with oil…”

In Scripture, oil is one symbol of the Holy Spirit.

The anointing oil of God’s Holy Spirit…
It is God’s work through the Lord Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection from the grave.
It is God’s acceptance of me through faith in Jesus as my Savior.
It is God setting me apart by anointing my head with His oil.
It is God’s blessing on me – continually.

~ Take it to heart ~

God Himself anoints my head with oil – for His holy purpose.
No matter my circumstances or my emotions, God Himself anoints me with His oil.
It is a “done deal” for all followers of Christ.

Are you anointed by God the Father with the oil of the Holy Spirit
through faith in God the Son (Jesus) as your Savior?
