My Shepherd knows who my enemies are.  My enemies do not prevent, hold back or stop my Shepherd’s care of me.  Can you say that too?  You can if your Shepherd is your Savior, Jesus.
My Shepherd goes about His work in my life undeterred by what stops me!

I need to remember: my Shepherd’s rod and staff are being used in my behalf, all the time!

My Shepherd knows my needs.

My Shepherd supplies what I need – abundantly.

My Shepherd is trustworthy and I can fully depend upon Him.

My Shepherd thwarts my enemies – I cannot.

Many times I am unaware of my enemy’s work against me; my Shepherd is alert and protects me!  In fact, He prepares a table before me in the very presence of my enemies…

At times, when God gives me the desire or “want,” then He abundantly takes care of my God-given “wants.”

He abundantly takes care of my needs.  My wants are not always my needs.  And my Shepherd knows the difference!

(NASB) Psalm 23:5 “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; …”

My Shepherd prepares His table before me – my needs are met by Him.  His preparation is not stopped by my enemies… in fact He prepares His table for my needs in the presence of my enemies – how frustrated they must be!

~ Take it to heart ~

My prayer for each one reading this devotional: to know the comfort in such a Shepherd Savior in your life.  And not only comfort, but having confidence in Jesus as your Savior.

(NASB) Romans 10:8-11 “… ‘THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, in your mouth and in your heart’ – that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
11 For the Scripture says, ‘WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.’”
