Before anyone knows Jesus as Savior:
(NASB) Colossians 1:21 “And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds…”

What God says: (NASB Romans 3:23)
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

What God did: (NASB John 3:16)
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”

What Jesus did on the cross and after His resurrection:
(NASB) Colossians 1:22 “yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach – ”

That is great Good News for you and me – Jesus takes away our reproach as we choose to have faith in Him.

The Hope of the Gospel:
(NASB) Colossians 1:23 “if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven… ”

As 2018 begins and as the pages of the calendar turn – we are to place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ – He is our hope.

Salvation!

Redemption!

Freedom!

You have freedom to grow and mature as a child of God every day.

~ Take it to heart ~

Think carefully and prayerfully on each phrase of the following verse:

(NASB) Ephesians 1:13 “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation – having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise… ”
