The key to true success – the Lord is with me and when He is with me, success follows.

(NASB) Genesis 39:2 “The Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man.  And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.”

As his master watched Joseph work day after day, he noticed the Lord was with this young man.  Everything Joseph did – prospered.  He found favor in his master’s sight and was promoted to a personal servant.  Joseph was made the overseer over his master’s house.  In fact, Joseph was in charge of all that Potiphar owned.

The results of this well placed trust?  The Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house and fields. Everything was left in Joseph’s capable hands.

Joseph had integrity.  He earned his reputation of being trustworthy.  The master did not concern himself with anything he owned, except the food he ate.  (Genesis 39:2-6)

An important part of Joseph’s success – his Egyptian master saw that the Lord was with Joseph and it was the Lord Who gave Joseph success.

Are others aware that you are successful in your job, in your ministry and in your home because the Lord is with you?

Are you aware that you are successful because it is the Lord at work in your life?

~ Take it to heart ~

Conclusion: The key to true success is the Lord working in my life.

(NASB) Psalm 1:1-3
“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.”
