Have you ever been promised something and it did not happen?  Have you ever promised something and then did not keep your promise?  With whom have you made an agreement or a pledge and have not kept it?  Aren’t you thankful God is not like that?!

God is the promise maker and He is the promise keeper.  He never goes back on His word, ever.

The All-Powerful God promised Abraham, Isaac and then Jacob descendants so numerous as the dust of the earth.  He also promised that through them all the families of the earth would be blessed.  (Genesis 28:13-14)

Think of that!  All the families of the earth would be blessed through these men.  And we are blessed!  Through the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has come Messiah.

Jesus Christ: Savior and Redeemer of all who will turn by faith to Him to be saved.  All families have indeed been blessed.
(Matthew 1:1-2)

Once you receive Jesus as your Savior, Redeemer – He promises to never leave you nor forsake you.

The Lord God promised Joshua that He would never forsake him as he led the Israelites into the land of promise, Canaan.

(NASB) Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord your God is the one who goes with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you.”

God’s Promise is an agreement, it is a pledge to you!
