What Esau observed:
(NASB) Genesis 28:6-7 “Now Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob and sent him away to Paddan-aram to take to himself a wife from there, and that when he blessed him he charged him, saying, ‘You shall not take a wife from the daughters of Canaan.’
7 and that Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother and had gone to Paddan-aram.”

Esau observed events and heard his father Isaac give his brother Jacob godly direction.  But Esau never once called out to God or asked his father for godly advice.

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) Galatians 1:10 “For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God?  Or am I striving to please men?  If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.”

Who are you trying to please?
Are you seeking God’s words and then following through in obedience?
Are you seeking godly advice from followers of Christ?
