When you have a problem with another – how do you react?  Do you react with defensiveness, hatred, animosity, hurt feelings, self-pity, anger, or revenge?

Isaac so lived his life that others noticed the Lord was with him.  Do others see the Lord in your life?

Three Philistine leaders came to Isaac and he wanted to know why they had come.  From Isaac’s perspective in the past they had hated him and had sent him away.  (Genesis 26:26-27)

The Lord blessed Isaac in many ways; one of which was the amassing of great wealth.  Another blessing… people who did not believe in the living Lord God noticed… they saw that the Lord God was with Isaac and had blessed him.

(NASB) Genesis 26:28-29 “They said, ‘We see plainly that the Lord has been with you; so we said, ‘Let there now be an oath between us, even between you and us, and let us make a covenant with you,
29 that you will do us no harm, just as we have not touched you and have done to you nothing but good and have sent you away in peace.  You are now the blessed of the Lord.’”

How did Isaac respond to a proposition of a covenant of peace between them?  He quickly agreed.  He did not let the past influence peace overtures.  He gave them a feast – that day.  Early the next morning both factions agreed to a peace treaty.  The results?  They parted in peace with each other.

How you live your life is noticed by others.
Even if they are contrary toward you, can they say “You are now the blessed of the Lord?”

Do others see that you love and serve the living God of the Holy Bible?

(NASB) Psalm 37:5-6
“Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it,
6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light
And your judgment as the noonday.”

When other’s notice, what do they see in your life?
People are watching!
