Return to the Lord
Isaac returned to where the Lord had gotten his attention in the past.  The Lord appeared to Isaac that same night.

The Lord said to Isaac,

(NASB) Genesis 26:24
“… ‘I am the God of your father, Abraham;
Do not fear, for I am with you.
I will bless you, and multiply your descendants,
For the sake of My servant Abraham.’

God’s promises do not change from generation to generation… the Lord’s promises are consistent and unchanging for you.

Worship
Isaac responded by building an altar and worshiping the living God.  He is the same God who we worship today.  He hasn’t changed from the days of Abraham and Isaac!

Isaac called upon the name of the Lord.  We need to call on His name today and every day.

Pitching your tent
Isaac pitched his tent at the place where the Lord God spoke to him.
It is time for you to “pitch your tent” where God speaks to you.

To “pitch a tent” you have to drive stakes into the ground and secure the canvas at the four corners in order to have stability and protection from the elements. The tent pole(s) are to keep the tent off the ground and allow for movement inside.

Trenching the tent is to dig a small ditch outside and around the bottom of the tent to allow drainage for any water that may fall, keeping the water on the outside of the tent.  Also, the dirt from the ditch is put on the canvas to help keep the tent from lifting.

Wherever God wants you, that is where you are to “pitch your tent.”  This can be a spiritual reality in a fast changing world, can’t it?!

It takes effort on your part.  Pitching a tent doesn’t have to be elaborate or slow.  With practice it will take a very short time.

~ Take it to heart ~

Return ~ to God.
Worship ~ Quiet time with the Lord is listening to Him as you read from His Holy Bible.

“Pitching your tent” is a sure way to have stability in an unstable world.
