God’s Promises are Life-giving
All of us are dead, dead in our sins until we receive Jesus as our Savior. He alone saves anyone from their sins.
(NASB Romans 3:23) “… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”Jesus becomes our Savior when we recognize, confess our sins and ask Him to be our Savior and Redeemer.
(NASB Acts 4:12) “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”Messiah’s life prophesied by the prophet Isaiah.
(NIV) Isaiah 9:1-2 “NEVERTHELESS, THERE will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan–
2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light;
On those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.”Messiah’s life fulfilled by Jesus.
(NASB) Matthew 4:13-17 “and leaving Nazareth, He came and settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun and Napthali.
14 This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet:
15 ‘The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles–
16 ‘The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great light,
And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death,
Upon them a Light dawned.’
17 From that time Jesus began to preach and say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”
Repentance is imperative… for God’s life-giving promises to be fulfilled in our life.
Jesus calls us to repent – for we do not know when our lives will end.
“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17)
~ Take it to heart ~
Repent – Receive life by faith in the Lord Jesus, Messiah!
