God’s promises are personal.  God gave a promise to Abraham; then repeated His promise to Isaac and Jacob.  His promises do not change from generation to generation.  God says what He means and means what He says.  Never doubt God’s promises.
(Genesis 12:1-3; 26:2-5; 35:11-13)

God’s promises are to all who turn to Him, believing His words and receiving Jesus as Savior and Lord.

He never uses His promises as an enticement – then changes His mind.

He never forgets His promises!
God’s promises are His agreement, His pledge to all who turn to Him.

Messiah’s birth is promised in the book of Isaiah.
(NASB) Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign:  Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.”

Messiah’s birth is fulfilled in the book written by Matthew, a Jewish man.
(NASB) Matthew 1:18-23 “Now the birth of Jesus Christ (Messiah) was as follows: when His mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child by the Holy Spirit.
19 And Joseph her husband, being a righteous man and not wanting to disgrace her, planned to send her away secretly.
20 But when he had considered this, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, ‘Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
21 ‘She will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.’
22 Now all this took place to fulfill what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
23 ‘Behold, the virgin shall be with child and shall bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,’ which translated means, ‘God with us.’”

~ Take it to heart ~

(NASB) John 3:16
“For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have eternal life.”

God’s promises are for us!
Jesus was born to save us from our sins.

Ask yourself:
What is stopping me from receiving Him as my Savior?
What is stopping me from praising and thanking Him?
