Two men, hundreds of years apart, walked with God.

(NASB) Genesis 5:24 “… Enoch walked with God… ”
(NASB) Genesis 6:9  “… Noah walked with God… ”

To walk with God is to be in agreement with Him, yielding to Him, walking where He walks.

Walking with God is to live by faith in Him.

When disappointments abound, sorrows multiply, our circumstances beyond our control… what do we do?

Sit and feel sorry for ourselves?  Use alcohol or drugs to “escape” our thoughts and situations?  Let anger rule and let our tongues lash out at others?  What futile responses!  This is how people without Christ as Savior and Lord react.

God has told us how we are not to walk.
(NASB) Ephesians 4:17-18 “So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
18 being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart… ”

God tells us how we are to walk.
(NASB) Ephesians 4:20-24 “But you did not learn Christ in this way,
21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
22 that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit,
23 and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”

We have a choice to make – react to our unfavorable circumstances as those without Christ react; OR respond by choosing to put on new responses because we have been given the Holy Spirit when we received Jesus as our Savior.  God is creating in us righteousness and holiness of His truth.

~ Take it to heart ~

Enoch and Noah lived by faith when they walked with God.
We can choose to live by faith and walk with the living God!

Walking with God is to live by faith in Him.
