When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden… that sin involved all people.  Sin is disobedience to the living God.

God dealt with sin and the sinner in the Garden of Eden and He does so today.  God promised Messiah at the time of the first sin and that promise was carried out through the Lord Jesus Christ, Messiah.

God dealt with Satan first for he was the instigator of sin against God.  (Genesis 3:14-15)

God then dealt with Eve for she was deceived by Satan’s lies and she disobeyed the living God.  She ate the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  (Genesis 3:16)

God dealt with Adam’s sin of disobedience last.

Adam’s sin involved the ground
(NASB) Genesis 3:17 “Then to Adam He said, ‘Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’;
Cursed is the ground because of you;…”

Adam’s sin involved the work of men
(NASB) Genesis 3:17-19 “… In toil you will eat of it
All the days of your life.
18 Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you;
And you will eat the plants of the field;
19 By the sweat of your face
You will eat bread,

Adam’s sin involved the death of all people
(NASB) Genesis 3:19 “… Till you return to the ground,
Because from it you were taken;
For you are dust,
And to dust you shall return.”

~ Take it to heart ~

When God said, “You shall not eat…” He knew all that would be involved if He was disobeyed.

Willful sins, sins from ignorance, sin period – goes far beyond the one who sins.

Our sins infect and affect others.
