(NASB) 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

Contrasts: True/Untrue; In/Out; Old/New.

True/Untrue ~
God’s word is true or it is not true.  No one can have it both ways.  God does not lie, He is God.
Conclusion: God’s words in the Holy Bible are true from beginning to end: Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

In/Out ~
All people are either “in Christ” or without Christ in their lives.  Receiving Christ as Savior is to be “in Christ,” in an intimate connection with Him on a personal basis.
I encourage, invite and urge those without Christ to receive Him as Savior.

Old/New ~
When we receive Christ we are made new within by God the Holy Spirit.  The old ways of thinking, doing, acting are to be done away with… don’t stay there, move on to the best, the new life in Christ.

God says we are to not live any longer in the old ways, the life that is without Christ Jesus as Savior.
We are to lay aside that old way of living, the old self.
(Ephesians 4:17, 22)

Our Old Life without Jesus was exchanged for New Life in Jesus when He became our Savior.

(NASB) Ephesians 4:23-24 “and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.”

~ Take it to heart ~

Remember the contrast of the Old Life without Jesus.

When I receive Jesus as my Savior
the New Life in Jesus is mine!
