School knowledge is often times crammed into the corners and cupboards of our minds.  Tests are passed and we store valuable knowledge.  But that is all it is until that knowledge is put into use.  Even knowledge that is used in the lab is just knowledge until it is used in the work place.

Knowing about the Lord Jesus is knowledge.  Knowing about His birth, His life, His death and resurrection is useful knowledge and it is important.

Knowing about Jesus is not the same as receiving His life, receiving His forgiveness for your sins.  Knowing Christ Jesus – really knowing Him is to be intimately connected to Him.  Knowing Christ on a new level is to trust Him in your everyday life.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 5:16 “Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.”

Because of knowing Jesus as Savior we can say:
(NASB) Psalm 145:1 “I WILL extol You, my God, O King,
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.”

Knowing about Jesus should lead to knowing Him ~
Knowing Jesus as my Savior is intimate reality.
