Followers of Christ – it is true that we are forgiven of our sins, that Jesus Christ is our Savior.

Have you considered that He is also our Judge?  He will judge us for our motives and what we do.  Sobering thought, isn’t it?  We are held accountable by God our Savior.

We should be aware we are not “entitled” as a child of God.  We are accountable.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 “Therefore we also have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

What is your ambition, your goal in life?  As a follower of Christ, we are to actively be pleasing to Him.  (2 Corinthians 5:9)

Why are we to please Jesus?  We are going to appear before Him – and as wonderful as that fact is, when we appear before Him, it will be at His judgment seat.

He will hold us accountable for our words and actions, our motives and goals in life.

~ Take it to heart ~

Again the question:
What is my ambition and goal in life?

Jesus will hold me accountable for my choices.

“O Lord, that I would be pleasing to You today.”
