(NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:12 “For our proud confidence is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.”

Proud confidence is a clear conscience – that’s giving testimony by our conduct toward all others.

Proud confidence is assured confidence in God our Savior – that’s the Lord Jesus Christ.

Proud confidence is God setting us apart for His glory and His grace – that’s holiness.

Proud confidence is godly sincerity – that’s our motives and actions working together.

Proud confidence is not our wisdom but confidence in God’s grace – that’s His favor which we cannot earn.

Proud confidence is visible as we interact with others – that’s all others, believers and those who do not believe in our Savior.

(NASB) 2 Corinthians 1:13-14 “For we write nothing else to you than what you read and understand, and I hope you will understand until the end;
14 just as you also partially did understand us, that we are your reason to be proud as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.”

Followers of Christ, we are to have proud confidence, not in ourselves, but in our Savior.
