When do we miss out on God’s comfort?  One of the times is when we wallow in the muck and mire of the pigpen of self-pity.  Stinky mess!
How does anyone climb out of such thinking?
Hmmm, my thoughts are depressing…how do I break such a cycle?  Drugs?  Talking it out with another?  What?

From the perspective of God – He tells us to turn to Him because…
(NASB) Psalm 147:3
“He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.”

God is God of all comfort!

God’s mercies are new every morning – We are to hang on to God and His word for He is holding us securely.

(NASB) John 10:27-29 “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.
29 ‘My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.”

God is God of all comfort!

Bless the God of all comfort!  He is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  He is the Father of mercies.  He is God of all comfort.  (2 Corinthians 1:3)

Bless the living God, glorify Him by changing my focus – He is God of all comfort!  Trust is simply … trusting God, period.  Focusing on God changes my life.

He heals my broken heart.  He binds up my wounds of hurt.  (Psalm 147:3)
Bless the Lord, O my soul.  Bless my God, who comforts me!

~ Take it to heart ~

I am to turn to God and read His word.  I am to turn to God when I am under pressure of any kind.  When I am afflicted I am to choose God’s comfort.

(NASB) Psalm 119:49-50 “Remember the word to Your servant,
In which You have made me hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction,
That Your word has revived me.”

  God’s word brings life!

God my Savior is God of all comfort.

Bless His holy name.
