Jesus is the great Shepherd whom the God of peace resurrected from the dead.
(NASB) Hebrews 13:20 “Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep…”

Jesus Christ is the great Shepherd of the sheep.  I am one of His sheep.  He is my Savior, He saves me from my sins; He leads me in paths of righteousness.  Does this mean I am without sin?  No, it does not.  This is why I need Jesus!  He alone saved me when I received Him as my Savior.  He alone saves me and forgives me day after day.

I need Jesus; He is my Shepherd and Savior!

Jesus – He died on a cross in my place, He died so I can be forgiven.
(NASB) John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.”

Jesus – He was resurrected from the grave by the God of peace.  He made peace between God and me so I could live eternally with Him.  I can count on this fact because I am one of His followers, one of His sheep.
(NASB) John 10:14 “I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and my own know Me.”

Jesus – He lives today in heaven and He is coming again.  Jesus was physically resurrected and when He comes, He will come in His physically resurrected body.

(NASB) Matthew 24:30 “And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.”

~ Take it to heart ~

The great Shepherd saves and protects His sheep.  It is only through Jesus that I am saved.

(NASB) Acts 4:12 “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.”
