(NASB) Hebrews 13:18-19 “Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.
19 And I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you the sooner.”

Where was the writer of Hebrews?  And as you read the verse did you notice prayer is to include others.  Perhaps they were in prison or on a journey, wherever they were, they wanted others to pray for them.

What is my prayer life like?  Do I ask other followers of Christ to pray for myself and others?

It requires humility to ask others to pray that I have “a good conscience.”

It requires humility to ask others to pray that I conduct myself honorably in all things.  All things!  No matter where I am, or what I am doing, I need to be aware that my words, actions, and attitude is being watched by others!

(NASB) Acts 24:16 “… I also do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men.”

(NASB) 1 Timothy 1:5 “But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.”

When I am in contact with clerks in a store, or having a conversation with anyone, I am to conduct myself honorably in all things.  If I receive more change than is due me, what do I do to maintain “a good conscience?”

~ Take it to heart ~

I need to be renewed and restored in my thoughts, emotions, and will toward God my Savior.
I need others to pray for me.
I need to pray for myself as well as praying for others.

(NASB) Proverbs 15:29
“The Lord is far from the wicked,
But He hears the prayer of the righteous.”
