(NASB) Hebrews 13:1 “LET LOVE of the brethren continue.”

The living God is our Teacher.  He teaches us to love one another.
(NASB) 1 Thessalonians 4:9 “Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.”

Jesus gave a new commandment.  Listen to Him.
(NASB) John 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”

Sacrificial love was lived out by the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our example: follow Him closely!
(NASB) 1 Peter 2:21-24 “For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps,
22 who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth;
23 and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;
24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.”

Take it to heart ~

The living God teaches us to love one another.

(NASB) 1 Peter 1:22 “Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart.”

Loving others will always mean sacrifice.
