How do you have victory over your enemies?  Is it by your strength and strategies?  You may “win” for a time, but faith in the living God of the Holy Bible is better, much better.

God is greater than your enemies.
Consider being victorious over your enemies through faith in God Himself!  We have accounts of men who conquered Israel’s enemies through faith in God to lead them.

Men like fear-filled Gideon; yet, God used him and a small number of men to rout Israel’s enemies.  (Judges 6-7)

Barak led Israel’s army against their enemy.  (Judges 4-5)

Samson single-handedly and sacrificially killed many of Israel’s enemies. (Judges 13-16)

Jephthah led Israel’s army against their enemy and was victorious.  (Judges 11-12)

David, Israel’s greatest king, conquered many enemies throughout his reign.  (1 & 2 Samuel)

These men “who by faith conquered kingdoms…”
(Hebrews 11:33)

These men are examples of strong men being strengthened by the living God to conquer their enemies.  We should not be ashamed to admit our need of God and His strength for our lives.

We are to live by faith in the living God of the Holy Bible.  Victory over our enemies will be by faith in our God.  The men mentioned above overcame their enemies by God’s strategies, God’s strength and God’s timing.  God is always greater than our enemies.

Take it to heart ~

It is faith in God’s strength which will give you victory over your enemies.

(NASB) Ephesians 1:18-20I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,
19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.  These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,…

Is your faith in your own strength or in God’s great power and proven strength?
