The writer of Hebrews warned of unbelief concerning Jesus Christ in Hebrews 6:4-8.

Now the writer is giving great encouragement to followers of Christ…
(NASB) Hebrews 6:9 “But, beloved, we are convinced of better things concerning you, and things that accompany salvation, though we are speaking in this way.”

How is the Lord God encouraging you from the following list?

You are saved – you have received salvation through faith in Jesus.

God is just – He is fair in all of His dealings with you.

God remembers – He remembers your work.  He remembers your love you have shown to His name.  He remembers you have labored in the past and are continuing to minister to the needs of the saints.

You have full assurance of hope – for this day and to the end of your days on earth.

Don’t be sluggish – spiritually, do not grow disinterested in the words of God to you.

Be imitators – of others whose faith is in Jesus – lean your full weight on the fact of God’s power, wisdom, goodness, mercies, etc, in your circumstances and life.

Continue – to exercise patience each day…that really takes reliance on God, doesn’t it?

Continue – to wait with patience to inherit the promises God gives all who believe in Him.  Faith that God’s words are for your best interests.
(Paraphrase of Hebrews 6:10-12)

Followers of Christ: be encouraged
this moment, this day and throughout this year.
