As followers of Christ, we are presented to God, the God of the Holy Bible.  Think about that!  We are privileged; we are presented to the living God.  He is our protection; He is the One Who gives us Tender Loving Care…no matter our circumstances.

Why does He do this?  Because He is the God of grace – He extends His unmerited favor to all who know His Son, the Lord Jesus, as their Savior.  God’s grace – we don’t deserve His favor, we can’t earn His favor…it is a gift through faith in the Lord Jesus, period.

As Paul talked with the Ephesian elders, he committed them to God and commended them to the Word of His grace.

Who are you to commit to God and commend them to the Word of God’s grace?  It is God and His Word of Grace which is able to build others up…encouraging and strengthening them for the challenges faced each day.

Followers of Christ, we have an inheritance.  We are people set apart for God!  (That’s sanctification!)

We are committed to God.

We are commended to the Word of His grace.

We are consecrated by God when we yield to the knowledge we are sinners and receive Jesus as our Savior.

Followers of Christ, we are purified – not by what good works we do or by being a good person, it is only through faith in Jesus which transforms us from the inside out.

Good news!  Saved by faith in what Jesus accomplished on the cross when He died, He was buried and He was raised to life for all time and eternity — for you!

What Paul said to the Ephesian elders, as we read in this letter, and it is for us today.

(Amplified) Acts 20:32 “And now [brethren] I commit you to God [I deposit you in His charge, entrusting you to His protection and care.]  And I commend you to the Word of His grace [to the commands and counsels and promises of His unmerited favor]. It is able to build you up and to give you [your rightful] inheritance among all God’s set-apart ones (those consecrated, purified, and transformed of soul).”

Committed to God!

Commended to the Word of His grace!

Consecrated by God!

Followers of Christ, we worship, serve and follow the risen Savior ~ Christ Jesus!
