You and I have needs from the time we are conceived.  Some of us have physical needs, others emotional, mental or social, and all of us have spiritual needs.

Paul and Barnabas have traveled to Lystra…preaching the good news of Jesus Christ.
(NASB) Acts 14:8-10“At Lystra a man was sitting who had no strength in his feet, lame from his mother’s womb, who had never walked.
9 This man was listening to Paul as he spoke, who, when he had fixed his gaze on him and had seen that he had faith to be made well,
10 said with a loud voice, ‘Stand upright on your feet.’And he leaped up and began to walk.”

Paul discerned the man’s faith in the Lord Jesus and then said with a LOUD voice.   “Stand upright on your feet.”The man leaped up; having never before put weight on his feet and walked.  Can you imagine the happiness that man experienced and the joy he must have had when he was walking?

What did Paul and Barnabas know that the crowd in Lystra did not understand?  It was God’s power; it was faith in the Lord Jesus that healed that man.  Paul was an instrument to bring healing to the lame man.
As a surgeon uses a scalpel in surgery to bring healing to the patient, so Paul was used by God to bring healing to the lame man.

Many people take the credit for themselves or they give credit to the one who performed the act that brought healing.

As followers of Christ, we are to thank the living God for healing.  We need healing whether the need is physical, mental, emotional, social or spiritual.  We all need spiritual healing.

When you are healed, to whom do you give the credit?

The lame walk and we are to give the glory to our God.
