Disbelief stirred up bitterness against the followers of Christ in Iconium.  So what did Paul and Barnabas do?  (Acts 14:2)
(NASB) Acts 14:3 “Therefore they spent a long time there speaking boldly with reliance upon the Lord, who was testifying to the word of His grace, granting that signs and wonders be done by their hands.”

Paul and Barnabas continued to preach and teach for a long time because the unbelieving Jews stirred up bitterness among the Gentiles.  We are not told what a “long time” is…but we know it was more than a few days or even a few weeks.
The Lord testified to the word of His grace through Paul and Barnabas as they did signs and wonders in that city.

Division occurred, some were for and some were against Paul and Barnabas.  (Acts 14:4)
Then Paul and Barnabas heard of an attempt that was going to be made by both Jews and Gentiles to mistreat them and stone them.  (Acts 14:5)

Paul and Barnabas fled to other cities.  They didn’t wait around to become martyrs at that time.  They went to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe.  (Acts 14:6)

What did they do in those cities?  They preached!  They continued to give out the good news of Jesus Christ.  He died on the cross; He was resurrected to physical life and provided eternal life to all who turn to God by faith in the Lord Jesus.

Where do you need to Keep on – – – keeping on?  Giving out God’s good news to others?

Paul and Barnabas fled certain death in Iconium, but that did not deter them from continuing to tell others of God’s grace through faith in Jesus.

Where do you need to ‘Keep on – – – keeping on’?
Where do you need to give out God’s good news to others?
