Belief comes by hearing and hearing by God’s word given out.

Where are you hearing and reading God’s words?  Gathering with other believers in a Bible believing church to hear the Good News of faith in Jesus alone…is a place to start.  We are to hear and believe what God’s words say.  We are not to listen to our doubts or others disbelief.  God’s words are true and they are eternal.  Once we believe, our salvation by faith in Jesus is a sure thing.

(NASB) John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”
And all God’s people say — Amen!

Paul and Barnabas had been driven out of Pisidian Antioch, Turkey and they made their way to Iconium, Turkey.
(NASB) Acts 14:1 “IN ICONIUM they entered the synagogue of the Jews together, and spoke in such a manner that a large number of people believed, both of Jews and of Greeks.”

Belief comes by hearing and hearing by God’s word given out.

(NASB) Isaiah 52:7 “How lovely on the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who announces peace
And brings good news of happiness,
Who announces salvation,
And says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’”

Paul and Barnabas were the ones whose feet brought wondrously good news to the people in Iconium.  To whom is the Lord leading you to give out God’s Good News?

“Listen” to the steps that are needed in order for others to hear:
(NIV) Romans 10:14-15 “How then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of  whom they have not heard?  And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  15 And how can they preach unless they are sent?  As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’”

How are you being called to give out God’s words to others?  Who do you know who needs to hear about the Lord Jesus Christ?  It is God’s mercies, His grace, and His provision through faith in the Lord Jesus that saves anyone.  That is the Good News we are to share!

It is God’s work in and through you that will give out the Good News.
What is holding you back?
